My Disability Rant

Whoever knows me knows I was in a car accident on 2010. By the grace of God, I survived that accident. I am now diagnosed as a quadriplegic. I get muscle spasms. I have sensation. I feel when I need to shift my body to prevent bed sore. I can move my toes on my right foot. I can move some fingers. I just can't move my legs freely, YET! Just recently, My God had showed my walking again. My God has showed me getting out of my powerchair and running around my church's Sanctuary! I did not ask for that. I ask Him to use me to show others how powerful He is.

I work my butt off twice a week at physical therapy. Yes, after 5 years I'm still in therapy. It has helped me gain the strength to transfer myself to and from the chair and going up and down hill. My strength has increased.

From being abled body to living with a physical disability SUCKS. I'm not going to sugar coat it. From being able to walk, run, go upstairs, jump into waves, the list goes on, to having to make sure you go places that is wheelchair accessible, making sure there are ramps, elevator, doors that are wide enough, SUCKS! Not have the sensation to use the restroom and having to worry about using a catheter and having to catheterization every 4 to 6 hours, SUCKS! I did not ask for this! However, life after the diagnosis is not the end of the world. Yes, I wish I can play softball again! Yes, I want to not have to think about having an bladder or bowel accident! Yes, I want to go through the clothing store and not run into clothing racks. Yes, I want my body to go back to how it used to be! But life with my physical disability has changed my views on what is normal.
I can live with my physical disability. I might have to keep more things on my mind. I might have some obstacles in my daily life, but I can still live an amazing life with my disability!

If you truly think about it, there are some perks to having a disability. My shoes never get dirty! They look new every time I put them on. In my power chair, i can go faster than someone walking! I get VIP parking everywhere I go. I don't have to wait in lines at any theme park. I don't have to wait in the women's restroom. I always get the big stall in the restroom. I always have a chair to sit in! I can make people move out of the handicap areas so the people who are with me can have a place to sit.

When you see me and your first thought is 'poor Christian,' shame on you! Pity is not what you should feel for me. I have never had pity on myself and I will not accept it from anyone else! I can't look at the things I can't do. If I dwell on those things, I will be depressed! I look at my life and say 'I'm alive! What can I do to make my life meaningful?' I personally have NEVER said WHY ME! I still have a purpose in this world. Life is more meaningful now than it was before my accident. I'm in school to become a teacher, which was the same dream I had before my accident. I volunteer at an elementary school. I tutor children who struggle with school. Helping others was always my goal in life.

My God has opened my eyes of what life really means and if I dwell on my disability, I will not have time to live my life to the fullest. God has given me peace and I want to share that peace with the world!  Hopefully this reaches someone who needs to hear these things. May God bless you!

What God wants!

I know I haven't written in a long time,  but here you! I posted it on Facebook first, but just in case you missed it!

As I was reading my Bible, I came across Hosea 6:6 in the NKJV God told Hosea...
"For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings."

God wants us to know Him. Forget about traditions of man and follow Him first.   STOP WORRYING ABOUT ...
Wearing white on 1st Sunday
Having Communion every 1st Sunday
What others are wearing at church
Women in the pulpit
The little finger in the air to show you are up and being a distraction in church!!!

If you can find any of those in the bible as a requirement for God Kingdom,  please enlighten me!

What you need to worry about is yourself! Are you living right? Are you practicing what God requires of you? We, as Christians, need to ...

Call out to Him in Prayer!
Study His Word!
Fast and ask to fulfill His Will!
Go out and Witness to other about His Goodness, Mercy, and His Grace !
SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED!

Being a believer of God and Jesus Christ our Savior

I shared a post about a city having a anti sagging law. the post stated that the city of Oasla approved that law and the consequences are six months in jail or a huge fine. My opinion on this law is no jail time but the fine is needed. This law should include females that show there under garments too. No one wants to see someone elses underwear PERIOD!

So with posts you can have others post comments. I got a comment and that I felt that the commenter was focusing his opinion to me. Saying I was following the crowd and I made sure everyone one knew I was not a follower of no MAN. HOWEVER I AM A FOLLOWER OF MY GOD AAND JESUS CHRIST! The commenter replied saying I was contradicting myself and that I "follow a system of white supremacy with the whole lord and savior stuff". If the commenter was a friend of mine would know that I love the LORD and wouldn't bash my religion. I have done my "research" on my religion and what I believe. The research that was done by the commenter must be completely wrong. Please someone tell me how Christianity and white supremacy goes hand and hand! Please enlighten me on that subject.

My anger got the best of me and I deleted that commenter and the comments before I could tell that person about my LORD AND SAVIOR! And ask the commenter about the opinion that was started! I will say now to the commenter that I will pray for you and let God bless you and show you God loves you and protects you!

Heavenly Father, help me with my anger and give me strength when someone tries to tell me my faith for you is not the right thing to do. Lord I love you and FOLLOW only you! In JESUS NAME I pray!  THANK GOD! AMEN!!!

A wonderful surprise

Today started off like a normal Wednesday. Getting my daily routine done and over with. I was texting one of my best friend Lyniece. All of a sudden the doorbell rings. Not thinking anything of it I asked my sister who it was. Come to find out its lyniece. She tricked me into thinking she was in Merced California at work but she was in Vallejo this whole time. I loved seeing my goddaughter Jordin. I missed both of them deeply!!!!!

Thought of the day!

I was wondering, what are the duties of a godmother? Provide for their God kids, get them closer to God, or to  be there when their parents can't? Am I doing what I'm supposed to do? Tell what you think!

Day Nineteen-August 4, 2013

Day 19
I had a wonderful day. I woke up to a phone call from my sister asking me if I wanted to see my step nieces perform. They were performing at the Solano County fair. So we got ready and left for the fair. The fair isn't what it used to be. I remember the fair being packed and being there all day and not being able to see everything. The fair this year and years before that was very plain. It wasn't worth the $10 to get in or the $10 parking but I was there to see my nieces perform. And with that I had a wonderful time. One of my best friends came to the fair and also watched my nieces perform. In that was worth the $20 to get in. After they performed I went home. I took a nap and woke up when my best friend (who came to the fair) got to my house. She had my God baby with her. I love spending time with my God daughters. I don't see them often but when I do they bring joy into my heart. I am honored to be called their Nina/auntie/God mom/Titi/etc. My God daughter was having so much fun with my little cousin who lives with me. She didn't want to leave. I told her she can come by anytime to come play. I didn't get a goodbye because she doesn't like saying goodbye but she knows I love her and she's welcome at my house anytime.

Until next time!
